I was the lead designer on this report and my task was to create a simple, one-page annual report that briefly went over Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA)’s year, revenue, and expenses and could be printed in the local paper.

The limited space to work with ensured that just the essentials made it into the design. The new app is showcased over a map of Toledo that also provides a hint of color and depth. The revenue and expenses are carefully shown in simplified numbers and bar charts to quickly show where TARTA’s revenue is coming from and spent. I stuck with this primarily graphic approach to ensure crisp lines and colors when printing on newsprint, and to showcase the bold colors that make up TARTA’s brand.
